چکیده
PurposeTo compare the survival outcomes of postoperative adjuvant aspirin with surgery alone in patients hepatitis B virus (HBV)-related hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and portal vein tumor thrombus (PVTT).MethodsFrom June 2013 to July 2015, an open-label, randomized controlled study was conducted resectable HBV-related HCC PVTT. Patients were randomly assigned undergo surgical resection (n = 40) or hepatectomy 40). The primary end point overall (OS). secondary points time recurrence (t-TTR) PVTT (p-TTR). expression levels COX1 COX2 specimens group correlated patients’ survival.ResultsThe median OS t-TTR 16.2 13.4 months, 5.3 3.2 months for group, respectively. There no significant difference between two groups (P 0.078 0.336, respectively). p-TTR 12.0 5.4 had markedly longer 0.001). Increased expressions tissues denoted better prognosis receiving aspirin.ConclusionFor PVTT, significantly prolonged than alone. Expression may predict these patients.

OBJECTIVE This study aims to find out the safety and efficiency of postoperative adjuvant transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) and radiotherapy (RT) in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) patients with portal vein tumor thrombus (PVTT). METHODS From 2009 to 2010, a total of 92 HCC patients with PVTT were enrolled in this retrospective study. Patients were divided into three groups according to t...

The optimal treatment for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) with portal vein tumor thrombus (PVTT) remains controversial. We aimed to investigate the best treatment for patients with HCC with PVTT. From January 2002 to January 2014, the data from all consecutive patients with HCC with PVTT who underwent surgical treatment (ST),TACE,TACE combined with sorafenib (TACE-Sor), or TACE combined with rad...
متن کاملHepatectomy for hepatocellular carcinoma with portal vein tumor thrombus
Despite surgical removal of tumors with portal vein tumor thrombus (PVTT) in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) patients, early recurrence tends to occur, and overall survival (OS) periods remain extremely short. The role that hepatectomy may play in long-term survival for HCC with PVTT has not been established. The operative mortality of hepatectomy for HCC with PVTT has also not been reviewed. He...
متن کاملPostoperative sorafenib prolongs survival of hepatocellular carcinoma patients with Portal vein tumor thrombus following hepatic resection
Portal vein tumor thrombus (PVTT) is a complication of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Our aim was to determine if sorafenib given postoperatively prolongs the survival of HCC patients with PVTT who undergo hepatic resection. Between 2009 and 2013 advanced HCC with PVTT who underwent surgical resection were given the option to take sorafenib postoperatively. Overall survival (OS) and disease-fr...
